Last week it was too cold here in Toronto. It’s my second winter here and it’s colder and snowier than the last one. It was bad for 3 days I think. -15 Celsius 5 Fahrenheit..So you know, it’s nice to stay inside and enjoy the warmth, watching the snow through the window, baking… Well I wanted to bake but when it’s so cold outside who’s gonna remember to bring some eggs?

 I’m having a hard time making my son eat something green..I mean it’s just insane, he just looks at something green and he rolls his eyes.  He just started to behave like this, 3 months ago, I was thinking that it’s a phase that will pass.. I'm still hoping that it's just a phase..Well what do you know, he ate 6 muffins with broccoli and loved them..

Saganaki means anything that is made  using a skillet. We have any
kind of saganaki back in Greece, we have cheese saganaki, shrimp
saganaki, pork saganaki , fish saganaki etc.
 I used  to find the wide variety in every restaurant in Greece and most of the time  I didn’t know what to choose.

I love red lentils ( I have no idea why they call them red, they’re clearly orange), they  have a delicate subtle flavor and the fact that they are hulled makes them cook really fast. Too bad they don’t keep this amazing orange color after cooking.I started doing this recipe last winter, it’s an idea from Foodnetwork Magazine.

I love red lentils ( I have no idea why they call them red, they’re
clearly orange), they  have a delicate subtle flavor and the fact that
they are hulled makes them cook really fast. Too bad they don’t keep
this amazing orange color after cooking.
